Baikal Getränke GmbH (WOSTOK) was founded in 2009 by advertising photographer Joris van Velzen, with the sole purpose to re-launch a Soviet soft drink from the 1970s – It has since expanded its range to seven unique flavours. Wostok is by all standards still a very small brand but, having gained an enthusiastic audience both in Germany and abroad, growing dynamically.
WOSTOK offers a range of unusual carbonated soft drinks with unique, natural flavour combinations. The organic range boasts a very high percentage of organic fruit juice and no added refined sugar. Sold only in glass bottles, WOSTOK positions itself as a premium, natural “gourmet” soft drink.
WOSTOK is distributed to Horeca (mainly coffee shops and cafes) and high end conventional and organic retail, as well as urban convenience stores. It is currently exported to 20 countries, the main markets outside Germany currently being the Netherlands and Russia.
